Adenoids
Like tonsils, adenoids are lymph nodes in the throat but unlike tonsils, adenoids can’t be seen easily through the mouth as these are situated in the nasopharynx region higher behind the nose and close to the roof of the mouth (soft palate).

Tonsillitis (Infected Tonsils)
The tonsils are two soft masses of lymphoid tissue (lymph nodes) located on either side at the rear of the throat.

Medical research has proved, that the removal of tonsils (even adenoids, which are also lymphoid tissue like tonsils but located behind the nasal cavity) in children has no adverse effect on their immunity to diseases and infections.

Voice Change (Hoarseness)
Hoarseness usually originates from some issue or disorder with the vocal cords (a part of the larynx or the voice box which is responsible for producing sounds).
Hoarseness can be caused by many factors but it is rarely serious if it heals within a few days. However, if the hoarseness has gone on for two weeks, you should visit an ENT physician at the earliest to rule out larynx cancer.
